4 Instrument Orchestrion
This Orchestrion was made in Ohio in the 1980s, consisting of two accordions & two sets of pipes (one tin & one wooden organ pipes).
A vacuum system activates the various notes by use of a paper "O-roll", with punched holes.
Sounds and plays wonderful. Well made and maintained, ready for years of making music for you family and friends.
At the turn of the 20th century, few high-class dance halls, restaurants, or hotels could possibly excuse the absence of fine music. All across Europe and the United States, impressive orchestrions could be found playing hits of the day, different instruments catering to a variety of music tastes and styles. To this day, an orchestrion playing live in a establishment is unique, immensely entertaining, and a sure draw for customers! Here, is a modern example.
