Lionel Train Corporation ceased all production of model trains to support the war effort during WWII. Lionel trains was asked to design and manufacture a self compensating binnacle for use on naval ships.

Frank Pettit, the genius behind many of Lionel’s most advanced animatronic models, built this first prototype himself, before it was selected to go into full scale production. Here’s your chance to own a one-of-a-kind piece of Lionel train history.
